IT'S DAILY NEWS NIGHT AT SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD

HALIFAX, NS (2005 July 15) - Tonight is Daily News Night at Scotia Speedworld featuring a full card of Budweiser Weekly Racing. All FIVE stock car racing divisions will be on hand providing plenty of fun-filled, fast-paced, family entertainment.

The diversity of the divisions at Scotia Speedworld sees something for every taste with the 8-cylinder C&R Auto Supply Sportsman, the 6-cylinder Nova Automotive Hobby Stock, the 4-cylinder Miller Tire BFGoodrich Thunder & Lightning divisions and the motorcycle engine powered RV Contacts Legends.

The Peps Pre-Race Show at 7 pm will see track announcer Mike Kaplan have some fun with the kids, with prizes, too. Racing begins at 7:30 with qualifying races and features for each division.

Admission is just $12 for adults and $2 for youth aged 8 to 15. Children 7 and under get in free. Pit admission is $15 and restricted to those 16 and older. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. HST is included in all admission prices.

The pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. with practice until 6:55. The grandstand gates open at 5:30.

Scotia Speedworld is a 3/10-mile asphalt oval stock car racing track featuring Budweiser Weekly Racing for five divisions and several special events during the race season, which runs from May to September.
