Bob Brockington

This sad news was just forwarded to me by John Hopkins, who frequents the Canadian MotorSport History Group online forum.

Bob Brockington was a fixture at Mosport Int'l Raceway for decades. We at Inside Track had the pleasure of knowing him through the editorial contributions he made reporting on historic events at the track. Bob was a very nice man and we pass along our condolences to his family and friends.

It saddens me to report that Robert Brockington passed away this morning at home in Don Mills.
He visited us on Monday and was alert, cheerful and demonstrated his sense of humour as well as his thoughtful side. We were fortunate to see him together with his wife Yolanda, daughter Kelly and 3 month old grandaughter Reegan.
As some of you probably know, he has been ill for some time but never lost his passion for racing, cars and details.
We have no other information at this time but will do our best to keep you posted.
