Milton, ON - The JNE Consulting #61 headed into the fast 1/3 high banked mile oval Saturday July 16 with the goal to rebound from a series of unfortunate results at this track. John began the night winning a qualifying race win and a third place finish in the other.
As it is custom in the OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Model series the top 10 Qualifiers draw for position inside the first 10 starting spots. The Milton resident drew 10th, with Johns rivals all around starting all around him the team knew that a good start of the Main 50 lap event would be in order. At the drop of the green flag, there was a quick caution to restart the field with the JNE Consulting car already moved to eighth.
After the restart, John pounced on the field of cars carving his way up to second place just after 14 laps. John once again found himself hounding eventual second place finisher and very competitive Shane Maginnis for the 24 laps. Once John found a hole and powered by the #03 car of Shane the #61 car opened up an astounding 4-second lead in four laps and cruised to the victory and recaptured the overall OSCAAR points lead back for the nights third place finish Rob Clarke.
"This is one of the hardest races I have won so far in OSCAAR, the other teams are getting so good week in and week out" John had to say in is post race interview on the front stretch of Peterborough Speedway.
The Teams next event is Saturday July 23 and the last race for OSCAAR at Sauble Speedway for 2005 where the JNE Consulting Team are coming off a third place finish.
