‘CANADIAN SPRINT CAR NATIONALS’ PRE-ENTRY LIST CLIMBS TO 48

By Ken Pelkie, Event Coordinator, Canadian Sprint Car Nationals

With the Early Bird pre-entry deadline of July 1st now past, the pre-entry list for the “Eldorado Logistics” CANADIAN Sprint Car Nationals has swelled to 48.

The inaugural September 17th event to be held at Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, Ontario has received pre-entries representing 8 States, 2 Provinces and New Zealand. “We waited a couple of weeks after the closing date for the mail system to purge itself, stated Event Registrar, Cheryl Pelkie in announcing the final tally of entries taking advantage of the special early bird incentives. All 48 had met the criteria for early-bird entries and will receive one free Pit pass. “We will continue to accept pre-entries up to September 10th at a slightly higher fee ($50 U.S. or $70 Can.) but we encourage people not to wait to the last minute if they plan to pre-enter”. Pre-entries now no longer include a free pit pass. Race day Pit Passes will be $30 U.S. ($40 Can.) While entry fees on race day will be $70 U.S. ($95 Can.) All cars are guaranteed $100 U.S. for taking a green flag but must pass pre-tech before being allowed on the race track.

Included in the early bird pre-entries are thirteen each from Sprints On Dirt, Empire Super Sprints and Southern Ontario Sprints. The Patriots have four entered while there are five independents registered. Notables on the list include Adam West, Tim Norman, Bryan Howland and Lance Young along with Mike Woodring, Tim Allison, Stevie Walsh and Cody Geldart.
