BUDWEISER WEEKLY RACING FRIDAY NIGHT AT SPEEDWORLD

By Joan Roué, Scotia Speedworld

HALIFAX, NS (2005 July 28) - This Friday night Scotia Speedworld will see Budweiser Weekly Racing in four divisions, the C&R Auto Supply Sportsman, the Nova Automotive Hobby Stock and the Miller Tire BFGoodrich Thunder & Lightning divisions.

All four divisions are mid-season in their respective chase to a championship. The driver in each division that accumulates the most points all season long (based on each event feature race finish) wins the coveted championship crown.

Friday's Pepsi Pre-Race Show will see announcer Mike Kaplan have fun with the kids and they can win prizes, too. The annual Flag Day is also on the agenda and kids are encouraged to make a flag to show support for their favourite driver.

The annual Shriner's Classic race will be supported by a full complement of the Dartmouth District Shrine Club.

Racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is just $12 for adults and $2 for youth aged 8 to 15. Children 7 and under are admitted free at Scotia Speedworld. Pit admission is $15 and restricted to those 16 and older. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. HST is included in all admission prices
