SOD MID-SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP SET FOR CRYSTAL ON SATURDAY

The Engine Pro, Sprints On Dirt series sponsored by Total Seal roars back into action Saturday night, July 16th when the 40 Lap Mid-Season Championship will be contested at Ron Flynn’s Crystal Motor Speedway.

Returning to the site of the first ever SOD event, won by Gerry Lippert in 1980, current point leader Tim Norman leads all active SOD drivers with feature wins at the fast clay oval with the first of his eight coming in 1985. Defending series champion Dustin Daggett follows with six wins and currently sits ninth in this year’s point chase. Other active drivers who have visited victory lane at Crystal include Brett Mann, Mike Daggett, Davey Brown, John Gall and Dain Naida. All are expected to be in attendance when the green flag waves Saturday night along with Nick Mulheim, Kyle Patrick, Bill Johnson, Ben Rutan, Gregg Dalman, Mark Broughman, Louie Carufel and a host of other SOD regulars.
