OSCAAR OUTLAWS SET FOR ROUND FOUR

By Don McLeod

The OSCAAR Outlaws will make the first of three stops at Peterborough Speedway on July 16. Local weather continues to call for hot and sunny conditions and it is fair to predict that the on-track action will also be hot and furious. A tight battle for the championship continues between Rob Clarke and John Fletcher at the top of the standings. But they can't rest on their laurels because at the last race Jeff Hanley served notice that he is back!

Recent on track performance also suggests that a number of other Outlaws will contend for the win at Peterborough: Shane Maginnis, Al Shepstone, Michel Beyore, Gary Passer and John Owen to name a few will be among those contending at the top.

TJ Woolsey is set to return to action to this weekend, in his newly purchased ride of former OSCAAR Champion Stu Robinson Jr. Will he bring the former #68 Outlaw car up through the field and also contend for the win - come to Peterborough and find out!

Racing at Peterborough Speedway this Saturday will also serve as an excellent "test session" for the teams to key in on their setups for The 7th Annual Don Biederman Memorial 75 Lap Event. With less than two months to go, the anticipation is building towards OSCAAR's major race event of the year. Racing fans will want to book that weekend on their calendar now; the race will take place on Saturday September 3rd.

The green flag drops at 7:00, with the pit gates opening at 2:00 and the spectator gates opening at 5:00. Outlaw fans should arrive early and stop by OSCAAR’s souvenir canopy to take a peek at the new 2005 hats and t-shirts, and don’t forget about OSCAAR’s new line created especially for the female outlaw fan!
