MOSPORT, ONTARIO - Brad LeLiever and the Barrie Honda/Georgian Pontiac /Thermoseal Industries Monte Carlo paid there first visit to Mosport International Speedway on Saturday night for round 5 of the Ontario Pro Challenge Series.

"This is a much faster track," LeLiever said. "And both ends of the racetrack are very different. It will take some getting used to."

In the heat race, LeLiever lined up second on the grid, but he got hung on the outside. "It was frustrating not to be able to get to the bottom of the racetrack," LeLiever said. "Then I missed a gear, and that sent me to the back." The result was a ninth place finish. The team made some changes to the Barrie Honda/Georgian Pontiac/Thermoseal Industries Monte Carlo and things were looking good for the feature.

After a lengthy autograph session for the Fan Appreciation Night, LeLiever was once again ready to battle. "I was just amazed at the number of fans that came up to the Barrie Honda/Georgian Pontiac /Thermoseal Industries Monte Carlo for autographs. They are all so passionate about the sport, and it is great to be able to spend a few minutes talking to them."

In the feature, LeLiever had a strong run going, moving up to sixth, and at the tail end of the lead battle, when a passing move went a little wrong. "I tried to go to the inside, and like at Flamboro earlier in the year, a little contact sent me into a spin," LeLiever said. "I will say we are really learning a lot about the series, and all the other teams have been great about helping us get up to speed. This is a great group to race with, and I am really happy to be in this series. It was a great move for our Holgate Motorsports team."

With his night's points, LeLiever is comfortably eighth in the championship points.
