July 4, 2005, Barrie, ON - Kerry Micks, driving the PowerWater 2005 Micks Motorsports Ford, started on the pole at Barrie Speedway and finished in second position on the third-mile tri-oval on Sunday.

"The PowerWater Ford was great all day and we finished only one position from our ultimate goal for the weekend," stated Micks. "We were able to lead over 50 laps at the beginning of the race and got the lead back at the about the half way point after pit stops."

Mark Dilley won the Dodge Charger 300 presented by the Dodge Dealers of Ontario followed closely by Kerry Micks in second and D.J. Kennington in third.

"It was an extremely tricky race track with not much room to work. You had to be good in the lower groove and we were," smiled a happy Micks. "At the end the car was not running on all cylinders and we were having problems and didn't have enough to get by Mark (Dilley) for the win."
