June 16, 2005, Oshawa, ON - CASCAR Super Series at Mosport International Raceway's "Berms-R-Us presents the Clarington 200" 2.5-mile, 10-turn road course race in Oshawa, Ontario, Sunday.
"It was our first shot at a road course, it was exciting and the Central Merchant Services team was good," stated Tara MacLeod. "After being 16th quickest in practice out of 33 entries, qualifying wasn't great but a top-20 finish is good after starting 30th."
Don Thomson Jr. won the Berms-R-Us presents the Clarington 200 at Mosport, followed by Jeff Lapcevich in second and J.R. Fitzpatrick in third.
"We were the top-finishing PowerWater CASCAR Super Series Rookie again this week," added MacLeod. "After starting deep in the field we were able pick up the most positions in the race, that's another first for the Central Merchant Services team."
MacLeod currently leads the PowerWater CASCAR Super Series Rookie of the year standings, and is in 16th position in the 2005 CASCAR Super Series Points Championship.
