Delaware, ON (June 21, 2005): Delaware Speedway has announced a special format for the "PartSource 138" Canada Day (July 1) event for its Cintas Late Model division, which represents the track in both the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series and the all-new Lucas Oil Weekend Warrior Series.

A celebration of Canada's 138th birthday, the 138-lap event will be run in three segments; the first two of 50 laps each, the final segment 38 laps. Each segment will count as a points race toward the season-end championship, though the overall winner will be determined based on the best average finish between the three stages.

The event will begin with time trial qualifying, for which each competitor will make two laps around the track. The better of the two times will count toward determining a driver's place in the starting lineup for the first 50-lap segment. With the exception of the two top-finishing drivers from the most recent race (Doug Stewart of London and Ron Sherdian of Strathroy), who will start at the back of the field as part of the new Lucas Oil "Scratch and Win" Bonus program, the starting lineup will be determined based on time trial results.

After the first 50-lap segment, the field will take a caution flag, and then a red flag for a mandatory pit stop as the field will be "frozen" at lap 50. At that point, the finish of the first 50-lap segment will be completely inverted for the start of the second 50-lap second, which will begin at lap 51, with all cars resuming racing on the lead lap.

After 100 laps, the field will take another caution flag and a mandatory pit stop, with the field "frozen" at lap 100. After the top two cars from the second segment take their place at the back of the field (as part of the Lucas Oil "Scratch and Win" Bonus program), an inversion of up to twelve positions (determined by a roll of the dice) will take place to determine the starting lineup for the final 38-lap segment.

After the final 38-lap segment, the overall winner will be determined based on the best average finish between all three stages.

PartSource has added $1,380.00 in product support bonuses which will be available at different stages throughout the event, including a pole position (time trial) bonus, and a bonus to the winner of each segment.

The Lucas Oil "Scratch and Win" bonus will apply for all three segments, each time offering a $500.00 cash and product reward to any driver who can win a segment after starting in one of the last two positions.

All told, there is over $17,000.00 in cash and product available for Cintas Late Model drivers for the "PartSource 138" event.

Also on the schedule for Friday, July 1 are the track's Kendall Motor Oil Street Stock and Challenger Motor Freight Truck divisions. The event is being presented by Country Favourites BX 93 (92.7 FM in London).

Adult tickets for the PartSource 138 and for other weekly events may be purchased at both PartSource stores in London (618 Wharncliffe Road South and 1305 Dundas Street East) as well as the PartSource in Sarnia (451 Exmouth Street)
