OSCAAR: Bodine Mfg. #21 Bounces Back After Flat Tire

OSCAAR: West Talons Sauble Report

Smithville, On: Bodine Manufacturing s # 21 Driver West Talons has not had much success at Sauble Speedway in recent outings. The team goal for the second round of the OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Model series was to improve at the fast 1/3 mile oval.

West qualified well and started the 50 lap main event 3rd behind the 70 of Jeff Hanley, son of legend Jr. Hanley and 4 time series champion #49 Rob Clarke. The Bodine Mfg. #21 kept pace with the lead pack for most of the early laps until lap 18 when contact was made with another car causing the second yellow came out.

On the restart, West felt a tire going down but it was not until a lap 40 red flag came out for a scary incident when the second car of the night ended up on there roof was West able to pit to fix the flat tire. The Bodine Mfg. #21 restarted the feature 14th in the highly competitive field of cars. West battled hard back to 9th while pressing for 8th when the checkered fell on the 50 lap OSCAAR event. West had this to say We are thrilled with this result tonight, until the tire starting to go down and running inside the top 5, we can leave here in one piece and our heads up .

The Bodine Manufacturing #21 Team invites everyone to the next event at Bowmanville s Fast ½ Mile oval Mosport Speedway July 2nd, West s former home track.

The team would like to thank Bodine Manufacturing and all the employees there for the incredible support, John Fletcher s Team for the continued help at the track, all of OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Model Series Sponsors and to all of our fans.
