HOLIDAY DOUBLEHEADER KICKS OFF WITH RARE THURSDAY NIGHT SHOW: FIREWORKS AND DEMO DERBY TO BE FEATURED AT MERRITTVILLE

Thorold, Ontario … A rare Thursday Night Show at Merrittville Speedway will kick off Canada Day Weekend festivities with a Fireworks Show one of the highlights of the Brady-Zavitz Financial special event.

“With many of our Canadian race fans celebrating Canada Day with Friday off of work,” relates (GM) Erica Bicknell, adding, “ it will be a great start to the holiday doubleheader … with school out for the summer … our younger race fans can also celebrate.”

Thursday June 30th’s race card will feature all DIRT Weekly Racing Series Divisions – the L. St. Amand Enterprises 358 Modifieds, Original Pizza Logs Sportsmen, Dwarf Cars/Mod Lites, Hoosier Stocks and Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinders.

Merrittville Speedway will welcome one of its newest event sponsors with a big bang, as the Brady-Zavitz Financial Services Night will feature a Fireworks Display.

The Holiday celebration concludes with Tool Needs presenting a Big Car Demolition Derby in addition to the 5 star DIRT Weekly Racing Series Program – July 2nd.

Prior to the night’s on track action, members of Merrittville Speedway’s Meridian Credit Union Kid’s club will adorn Hoosier Tire Canada ponchos as they decorate an actual Demo Car behind the Turn 1 grandstands for the second straight year.

“It was a real hit last year,” puns Kid’s Club Directors Mary- Beth and Mike, adding, “ the kids got real creative and when it came time for the derby they were all cheering for their car.”

Both nights of course could see Hoosier Stock Heat Winners taking the Hoosier Stock Finish Line Challenge – starting the feature from the back of the pack to win a growing pot of bonus cash.
