TORONTO, ON – Kasey Kahne, driver of the # 9 Dodge Charger in NASCAR Nextel Cup, and Mark Dilley, driver of the # 9 Dodge Charger in the CASCAR Super Series, will be comparing notes on their respective Dodge Charger race cars at NASCAR SpeedPark in Vaughan Mills tonight (Thursday August 11th).
NASCAR SpeedPark has invited Kahne to their exciting facility to sign autographs and partake in some races against fans on one of the facilities many go kart tracks. Kahne will be at the facility from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will be joined by Dilley at the same time. Fans must have a wristband to get an autograph. They are available at NASCAR SpeedPark on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10:00 am on Thursday August 11th.
Dilley will have his # 9 Dodge Charger on display at the event, and Dilley and Kahne are slated to go at it on the track as well; in slightly less powerful Dodge Charger replica go karts. The appearance of the NASCAR Nextel Cup and CASCAR Super Series stars together is reflective of the current stock car racing landscape in Canada, where NASCAR and CASCAR entered into a marketing and management partnership late in 2004.
Dilley currently sits fourth in the CASCAR Super Series Championship and is coming off a fourth place finish at Mosport Speedway last weekend, while Kahne currently sits 21st in the NASCAR Nextel Cup standings and is coming off a second place finish at the 400 at The Brickyard this past Sunday.
