South Riding (June 7, 2011) - Freedom High School is sending its largest class in school history to the next athletic level with 15 members of Freedom's Class of 2011 competing in college next year.

Boys Tennis: Freedom Rings Up Region II Doubles Championship
(June 1, 2011) - Freedom High School sophomores Wesley Wong and Alex Cragg remained unbeaten on the season as they swept a duo from Sherando to capture the Region II title. Earlier in the day, Wong won the Region II singles title as well. Next week Wong and Cragg will compete at the AA state tournament at Radford.

Warrenton (June 1, 2011) - Freedom High School sophomore Wesley Wong captured the Region II singles title on Wednesday with a victory in three sets over Sherando's Kaleb Nguyen.
Wong started the tournament with a straight set win over Liberty's Josh Rinker, 6-1, 6-2, and then he rallied to beat Cam Scott of Western Albemarle, 3-6, 7-5, 6-2.

Swim: Broad Run's Sarman Grabs Gold at AA State Meet; Briar Woods Girls Place Third as Team
(Mar. 3, 2011) - Broad Run High School senior Mark Sarman finished his brilliant Spartan career last weekend with a state title swim of 50.12 in the 100-yard fly as well as a runner-up finish in the 200 IM at the VHSL AA state meet in Christiansburg.

Girls Basketball: Loudoun County's Brittany Batts Named Region II D4 Player of the Year, Fisher Earns Coach of the Year

(Feb. 28, 2011) - Region II Division 4 girls basketball champion Loudoun County High School swept honors in a vote of coaches with senior Brittany Batts named the Player of the Year and first-year coach Derek Fisher selected as Coach of the Year.
Freedom senior Dionna Scott earned first team honors as well.

Basketball: State Bids on the Line Tonight in Regional Semifinals
(Feb. 24, 2011) - Loudoun has gotten big enough these days that it certainly feels like its own region so it should come of no surprise that local basketball teams road to the state tournament are paved mostly with local foes in region this year including a pair of match-ups tonight that feature the Briar Woods boys at Potomac Falls and the Freedom girls at Loudoun County.

(Feb. 24, 2011) - Freedom High School, with three medalists including a pair of third place finishes by 130-pounder Sean Gaetani and 285-pounder DaQuante Timbers, came away with a 12th place finish last weekend at the AA state wrestling meet in Salem.

Gymnastics: Freedom's Kaylee Annello Takes 6th in the All-Around at AA State Meet
(Feb. 23, 2011) - Freedom High School's Kaylee Annello took sixth in the All-Around at the AA state meet last weekend in Virginia Beach with a 37.000 score that included sixth place finishes on both the beam and floor.
Annello scored 9.450 on the beam and 9.475 on the floor. The VHSL open state meet for individuals includes competitors from A, AA and AAA levels.

While this young group of Wolverines, travelling from the western half of the county, was thought relatively harmless heading to the Ashburn area this week, there was a confirmed surprise
