OHSWEKEN SHOOTOUT STARTING FIELD HALF SET

The "Ohsweken Shootout" scheduled to run Friday night, September 16th as a prelude to the Inaugural "Canadian Sprint Car Nationals" has completed two of the four scheduled qualifying rounds.



All qualifying events are being held at Ohsweken Speedway and consist of the 1st appearance during the 2005 season for each of the "Nationals" Affiliate Sanctioning Series. The first of three finishers in each of the four qualifying events that are regular competitors of the evening's host sanctioning bodies will gain the right to compete in the "Shootout" The winner of the "Shootout" will pick up $500 U.S. for covering the 10 lap distance.

Entry fee for the Nationals must be received prior to taking the green flag for the "Shootout". Friday night, May 6th, the Patriot Sprint Group kicked off the qualifying round with Kyle Wilson picking up the win. He was followed by Chuck Hebing and George Suprick. All three will represent the Patriots for the "Shootout".

Southern Ontario Sprints also completed their qualifier on May 20th with Glenn Styres picking up the win. Styres will be joined by Adam West and John Riegling as the SOS Representatives.With half of the field now set, we will have to wait until June 24th to determine the three ESS Qualifiers and it won't be until August 26th when the Sprints On Dirt visit Ohsweken that their representatives will be known.

Starting positions for the "Shootout" will be determined by draw. Order of the draw will be established between the winners of the four qualifiers prior to the race. In the event that one or more of the qualifiers are unable to attend, a replacement will be made by selecting the next highest finisher from the qualifying race of that affiliate.
