SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD: Rain Cancels Friday Night Show at Speedworld

HALIFAX, NS (2005 May 27, 12:05 pm) - Today's inclement weather has forced the cancellation of tonight's Budweiser Weekly Racing show at Scotia Speedworld.

Hopes are high that The Pro Line 100 on Saturday (May 28) will finally kick off the 2005 season at Scotia Speedworld. Saturday's show will feature the season openers for the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour, the Sportsman Super Series and the Legends Tour.

The pits open Saturday at 9:30 am, the grandstand opens at 1 pm, Motor Mart Time Trials go at 3:20 and racing starts at 4 pm.Further updates regarding Saturday's show, if necessary, will be provided Saturday online and at our Event Hotline (873-2277).

Scotia Speedworld is a 3/10-mile asphalt oval stock car racing track featuring Budweiser Weekly Racing for five divisions and several special events during the race season, which runs from May to September.
