(BOWMANVILLE, ON – SEPTEMBER 5, 2007) Final battles for season championships and the always popular Fan Appreciation Night promise to end the season with thrilling action on the track and lots of great memories for the fans this week at Mosport Speedway (Saturday, Sept. 8).
Heading into the final night of PartSource presents the Auto Workers Community Credit Union Saturday Night Racing, three out of four class championships remain open. In the CAW Local 222 Limited Late Models, Todd Delisle (Port Perry, ON) holds a slim eight point lead over Dwight Brown (Beeton, ON). The chase has also tightened up in the R.P. Oil Open-Wheel Modified standings with Jim Rossiter (Orono, ON) holding a twelve point edge over Darren Kearnen (Burketon, ON), while Brad Stevenson (Courtice, ON) remains on top in the Bob's Towing ThunderCars.
In addition to all the exciting action on-track, this week is a special one for the fans as Mosport hosts its final Fan Appreciation Night of the season. During the intermission, after the Old Dutch Snacks King of the Hill spectator races, all of the crews, drivers and cars will be lined up along the front straight for a special 'meet and greet' with the fans. This is the perfect night to get a closer look at the cars, meet the drivers and crew, collect some autographs and pictures and take home some great prizes.
