NCATS: Micks Kawartha event preview

MOUNT ALBERT, ONTARIO (September 20, 2007) – Kerry Micks is looking forward to the final race of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series this weekend at Kawartha Speedway and putting the Micks Motorsports Beyond Digital Imaging sponsored Ford back in the winner’s circle.

“Our plan is to finish off the season on a positive note in the Beyond Digital Imaging Ford,” said the stock car expert. “We’ve had both good and bad luck this year, and the team definitely has had its high and lows,” added the Mount Albert, Ontario driver. “With a good finish this weekend we could get back into the top three in the points standings.”

Micks is currently sixth in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Top 10 Driver Points. He has won two races this year, taking victories on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal and on the road circuit at the Grand-Prix de Trois-Rivières.

The upcoming Dodge Dealers of Ontario Dodge Charger 250 presented by Allied Steel Buildings, is the 12th and final event in the 2007 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, and will be held at Kawartha Speedway on the 3/8th-mile, high banked, asphalt oval in Fraserville, Ontario, September 23.

“We led a bunch of laps at Kawartha last year,” Micks went on to say. “A good set-up here is critical. You have to have a good working race car. “I really like the race track. It’s smooth and it’s fast.”
