July 30, 2005, Vernon, BC – Tara MacLeod, driving her Central Merchant Services MacLeod Racing Ford finished in 15th position in Saturday’s CASCAR Super Series 300-lap race at Sun Valley Motor Speedway’s half-mile tri-oval in Vernon, British Columbia.
“A top-fifteen is a good day racing against these guys,” said the Innisfil, Ontario driver. “The Central Merchant Services Team was great tonight, stopping for just fuel on the first pit stop and tires on the second.”
DJ Kennington won the Sun Valley Motor Speedway 300 lap event followed by Brad Graham in second and Don Thomson Jr. in third.
“The western swing was good to us, we were able to strengthen our lead on the rookie of the year championship and pick up three positions in the CASCAR Super Series Points Championship,” explained MacLeod.
MacLeod currently leads the PowerWater CASCAR Super Series Rookie of the year standings, and is 13th in the 2005 CASCAR Super Series Points Championship.
The next CASCAR Super Series race of the season will take place Saturday, August 6 at Mosport Speedway located north of Bowmanville, Ontario on the half-mile oval.
