August 4, 2005, Hamilton, ON – Team Fastline driver Jim Lapcevich is ready to return to action this weekend on the high-speed, half-mile oval in the Mosport Speedway 200 Saturday night (August 6) in Bowmanville, Ontario in the CASCAR Super Series.

But other Team Fastline driver Jeff Lapcevich will not be running in this week’s event.

“Due to sponsorship budget restraints, Jeff and the 23 car will run a limited schedule for the remainder of the season,” explained Jim Lapcevich. “I’m pretty much out of the running for the CASCAR Super Series points so we have nothing to loose and everything to gain. It’s time to cut the BS and put the Tim Hortons - EMCEA Transport Chevrolet Monte Carlo on the podium.”

Team Fastline drivers Jeff and Jim Lapcevich currently sit 17th and 20th in the 2005 CASCAR Super Series Points Championship.

“I am planning to return to the CASCAR Super Series on Labour Day Weekend and in the mean time I am dedicating all of my racing time to my son Cayden’s Quarter Midget Racing,” stated Jeff Lapcevich. “Jimmy will do fine at the rest of the races and the Fastline Team will be able to dedicate all of their time to the 25 car.”

The CASCAR Super Series race will take place Saturday, August 6 at Mosport Speedway located north of Bowmanville, Ontario on the half-mile oval.
