
Indian IT major Infosys Technologies will help Seattle City Light, 10 largest public power company in the United States, to improve customer service through the exchange of information in real time.
Seattle City Light are in real time to inform customers of the causes of failures and give the estimated time for restoration of service, according to a statement issued Wednesday.
To achieve that Infosys, based in Bangalore, India exporter of software in second place, implemented "Utilities Directive System Network Management" developed by U.S. firm Oracle, the Seattle City Light, the statement of Infosys and Oracle said.
The system will help Seattle City Light "to improve operational efficiency and flexibility, improved customer service, reduce duration of outages and integrate data from existing information systems," the statement added.
Seattle City Light is a 10 largest electric utilities in the United States and has some advantages to the customer of any city utility rates, according to the statement. Serves nearly one million people living in Seattle.
