Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas missed Saturday's quarter-final against Manchester United after suffering a recurrence of his hamstring injury in the FA Cup.
Fabregas is back soon to play on Tuesday's Champions League clash in Barcelona, but the gamble failed when he was forced to come off midway through the second half and the Gunners eventually dropped.
Arsène Wenger confirmed on Thursday that the Spanish midfielder will not be featuring at Old Trafford this weekend, and could also miss the next Premiership match against West Bromwich Albion on March 19.
Fabregas should be asked to play on Saturday, Wenger said: "No, he had a recurrence of his hamstring and will be out for the next game, maybe for the next two games.
"He said he was ready to play against Barcelona and Cesc Fabregas is good when you play.
"He is of course very disappointed because it is becoming a bit of problem for him but he should be back soon."
