NCATS: Micks a favorite going into Barrie’s NASCAR event... “Anything can happen, as we’ve seen that this year.”

MOUNT ALBERT, ONTARIO (September 6, 2007) – With six top-five finishes in the last seven races, including two wins in the Beyond Digital Imaging sponsored Ford, team driver Kerry Micks will be one of the favorites at this weekend’s ATTO 300 at Barrie Speedway in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

“Our record this year is good considering,” said Micks, of Mount Albert, ON. “We’ve had two dismal finishes this year, and our record should be better than it is.”

The stock car expert currently sits in second position in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Top 10 Driver Points.

“Everything considered we’re having a good season thanks to BDI and our associate sponsors, a dedicated crew, and family,” added Micks. “I certainly couldn’t do this without all of their help.” BDI is Canada's leading digital printing company an official partner and licensee of NASCAR in Canada.

Micks trails series leader Andrew Ranger by 122 points going into race ten in the 12-race NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and is tied with D.J. Kennington in second position.

“There’s no question that we have a lot of ground to cover to catch the first place team,” he went on to say. “But then again four races ago we were in 13th position, so anything can happen as we’ve seen that this year.”

The ATTO 300 will take place Saturday, September 8 at Barrie Speedway. For information about Barrie Speedway tickets and camping, call (705) 487-0279 or visit online at http://www.barriespeedway.com/
