INSIDE TRACK: News & Notes for Friday

It's 3 p.m. on Friday heading into what looks to be the first nice weekend of the year (in Toronto).

Here are a few tidbits before heading out....

RACEGOD:
Ontario short track enthusiast Brian McCullough sent me a nice note asking if I'd spread the word about his three websites. The first one is a forum which requires registration to access. The second and third are photo galleries from Brian's extensive libraries. The photo albums alone could keep you busy for days. Lots of great old stuff.

COOL DUDE KURT BUSCH ON THE COT:
WILL THE FANS NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCE WITH THE CARS OF TOMORROW?: “I think bottom line you’re still going to have the same Bristol atmosphere of the bumping, the banging, the long runs, the short runs, the pit strategy, just cars on top of each other, rookies making mistakes. You’ll see the same cats with the same results I hope.

RACELINE ADDS GRISDALE:
"We welcome Grisdale Racing Products as a brand new national broadcast partner. This is a radio show that deals with motorsport, and racing and speed equipment companies provide the gear needed to “Git ‘er done” on the track. It just makes so much sense. They tend to hook up with the show at the local affiliate level, like Pete’s Automotive St.Catharines and their renowned DIRT Modifieds and equipment we advertise on our Niagara Falls/Western NY affiliate 105.1 The RIVER. But Grisdale’s trying the national side out of their Dundas/Hamilton complex. It should help to broaden their customer base.

WANTED: A NEW CRYSTAL BALL
Racewoman's guess of Friday, March 23, 2007 at 1 p.m. for the release of the NCATS 2007 schedule has come and gone.

... and that should do it. Time for some "Potent Potables"....
