Courtice, ON – March 16, 2007: Meet Shane Jantzi at Canadian Motorsports Expo before Indy does. Shane and the Brian Stewart Racing Indy Pro Series car he will race at the brickyard will be at the Expo April 6, 7 and 8.
Shane, a multi-time Ontario Formula Ford Champion, will compete in the Indy Pro Series race the Friday before the Indianapolis 500. Driving for Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame inductee (and former Canadian Formula Ford Champion) Brian Stewart. Jantzi’s chance of lifetime spawned from the generosity and talent scouting ability of Stewart.
Brian Stewart sponsors the Ontario Formula Ford Championship. The ’06 champion received a test in Brian’s car at the Homestead Miami Speedway. Shane won the title, took the test and impressed. From that point on the two began talking further about competing and now Indy is a reality for Shane. A solid performance at Indy will likely mean two more planned races this year.
Also appearing at the show will be the Brian Stewart Racing Indy Pro Series car Shane will race. Set with the team transport as the backdrop, Brian Stewart is bringing his team right into the Expo. Fans will have the opportunity to take pictures beside the car and hauler.
