BROCKVILLE , ON - It looked like the Kanes Towing Monster Enduros were going to be a clean sweep for Cory Winters on Sunday afternoon at Brockville Ontario Speedway. The driver from Finch dominated the opening 4-6 cylinder event taking the fifty lap opener by over two laps over the nearest competitor in a field of over 50 cars.
Winters picked up where he left off in the 100 lap 8 cylinder affair as well, leading the first 75 laps in the same car, before having to make a late pit stop. Steady and always consistent Scott Steele of Renfrew took over the top spot in the final 20 circuits to score the win by a couple of laps over his nearest foe in the finale.
Brockville Ontario Speedway will now be idle until October 18th. The track will close out the 2008 racing season with the first ever Southern Ontario Sprints, Empire Super Sprints and Patriot Sprint Group Challenge event featuring all the stars of all three series. The winged warriors will hit the track at 2 o clock.
