Ransomville, NY - Thursday, May 8th, 2008 - The Memorial Day holiday is just around the corner. What better way to kick off your weekend than at a local speedway? Ransomville Speedway to be exact.
The Lucas Oil Shoot-out Series for the Mighty Modifieds will take center stage on Friday, May 23rd. Invaders from across the border will battle local big R top shoes Todd Burley, Chad Brachmann, Scott Kerwin, and many more. In a twist unique to the Lucas Oil Series-the drivers goal is to accumulate the least amount of points. Drivers earn 1 point for a win on the Series, 2 for second place, 3 for third, etc.. Jeff McGinnis is the reigning Modified titleist having bested a total of 41 drivers in 2007.
Presented by DirtTrackDigest.com, Adam Ross had this to say about the series, "Once again local race fans saw some awesome events at each track. Local Dirt racing is what we're all about-we are exited again to see how it all enfolds...will there be a new champion again this year?"
"Steve Snowden of Lucas Oil is certainly dedicated to local racing," commented PR Director Tana Robinson. "We owe him and Lucas Oil a great deal for their continued support. The Lucas Oil Series is in its third year with many more expected."
Lucas Oil Products is one of the fastest growing additive lines in the consumer automotive industry featuring a premium line of oils, greases, and problem solving additives.
