Brighton Speedway's Winterfest next weekend:
Brighton Speedway’s annual Winterfest kicks off on Saturday January 26th , when 4 Wheelers, Snowmobiles and Endurance Cars take to the 1/3 mile iced oval. An annual tradition at Brighton Speedway the ever popular Winterfest breaks up the long off season, and invites everyone, from the age of 8 years old, to hit the track in twelve different classes of 4 wheelers, snowmobiles and cars. Green Flag flies at 11am. A second serving of ice racing will be served up on Saturday, February 9th. DJ Kennington at Daytona
NASCAR Canadian Tire Series points runner-up DJ Kennington took part in Nationwide Series testing at Daytona Int'l Speedway on Sunday in advance of the season-opening Camping World 300 on Feb. 17. In the morning session, the driver of the #72A Chevy was 45th fastest (of 45), 10 mph off the pace of session leader Tim McCreadie (180.032 to 170.684). In the afternoon session, Kennington picked up the pace considerably (to 174.710 mph) but was still about 10 mph slower than the leader (Brad Coleman @ 184.042). The Canadian was 40th fastest of 44 who took part in the post-lunch session.

John C. Bassett is a posting machine
John C. Bassett is an Inside Track Motorsports News Facebook Group member (among several other groups he contributes to). Since the group was started, John has been kind enough to post several videos and photos galleries, including this one where he gets a wild ride from Alex Tagliani in a two-seat Champ Car around the GP of Toronto track.
