FANS VOTE MOSPORT'S 2000 ALMS RACE AS ONE OF SERIES' 10 GREATEST MOMENTS OF ALL TIME

BOWMANVILLE, ON (January 16, 2008) - As part of the American Le Mans Series 10th Anniversary celebrations this season, fans across North America have voted the 2000 Grand Prix of Mosport as one of the ten Greatest Moments in Series history.

The race featured a thrilling finish when Dindo Capello in his Audi R8 captured a 0.148-second victory over the BMW V12 LMR of Jörg Muller in the Series' closest overall finish to date. The top ten moments will be celebrated throughout the 2008 season during Series broadcasts on ABC, NBC Sports and SPEED. The final phase of voting is now underway with fans having a chance to pick their three "podium" finishers as the Series seeks its single greatest moment.

Mosport has hosted the American Le Mans Series since its inception in 1999. This year's Mobil 1 presents the Grand Prix of Mosport, Aug. 21-24, is Canada's biggest sports car race of the year. Fans can get more information and vote at www.americanlemans.com/news/Article.aspx?ID=3878
