This item on Riverside Speedway's site is the strongest indication yet that the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series will be visiting the Antigonish, NS-area oval in 2007. Most speculation has the race penned in for Sept. 15.
From Riverside Speedway's website:
"Things are shaping up for the 2007 Season we now have in place our dates for our 4 major events, However at this time we cannot announce what is on what date other that the PASS date is set for July 21st we are waiting on the respective tours to make the official announcements. We can tell you that the 3 other dates are June 9th , Aug 18th and Sept 15th with a 5th possible event Sept 29th.
For all those waiting to hear about a possible weekly program we are sorry to say that after a long hard look at it track management has decided not to run a weekly program in 2007. This is not to say we will not revisit it in 2008. "
