Jim Cressman had a story in the London Free Press two days ago ("Delaware Season in Doubt") about the recent resignations of Delaware Speedway GM Kevin Bulmer and Operations Director Amy DuGas.
I have dealt with Kevin and Amy for years and it has been a pleasure knowing them. I hope they find satisfaction in their future endeavours.
This morning, I was contacted by Delaware Race Director Jeff Wilcox, who is still employed at the half-mile, London-area oval. While things are still in a state of flux - including the issue of who will replace the departed Bulmer and DuGas - he wanted to clarify a few things.
According to Wilcox, the 2007 season is not in doubt, contrary to the headline on the story. He also wanted to note that the schedule posted on the track's website is still in place and things are "moving forward."
