NASCAR AT THE TORONTO AUTO SHOW

By Rob Morton

Valentine’s night at the Auto show was VIP preview night. While the motorsports element was interspersed throughout the show, there was one area that was ALL racing. The NASCAR pavilion returns to the Auto Show for the third year and features a variety of interactive displays and exhibits within the pavilion.

Experience what it feels like to drive in a NASCAR race at over 200mph on a racing simulator from NASCAR Speedpark. Test your skill as a pit crew member by changing the tires of a NASCAR against the clock in the Sunoco Pit challenge. You can also see a NASCAR Canadian Tire Series car as well as get up close and personal with Carl Edwards NASCAR Sprint Cup ride.

Also on hand in the NASCAR Pavilion is have Bus Will Travel, offering great bus tours to various events including Bristol, Michigan,Watkins Glen and many more. The merchandising display will offer show goers the chance to buy Sprint Cup team merchandise, Sirius radio will also be on hand as will Watkins Glen Race Track and Full Throttle energy drink with the Siscar simulator. You can even pick up the latest copy of Inside Track Motorsport News and on Sunday, February 17 watch the running of the Daytona 500, live on the big screen!

All in all it’s the one area that race fans won’t want to miss. The NASCAR Pavilion is located on the 800 level of the South building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The Auto Show runs from Friday Feb. 15-24.
