Wilkens drove for track owners Pete and Linda Cosco in the early 90's in the sportsman division, until he passed away at a young age. All year the Kendall Oil Ministocks class and the Pro 4 Niagara Auto Sales Truck class was asking for a 4cyclinder battle. The first 15 lap event was won by Dave Small in the 67s, Top 5 were Dave Small, Tony Kelly, Len Wiley, Tyler Grove, Baden Curtis. (Heat winners were Bill Tice and Abel Castelein)
For the second race the field was inverted from the first race. Once the 71 was familiar with the track he was off, and often times had a 7 car lead over second place finisher Baden Curtis, Dave Small worked his way through the field to claim the 3rd spot.
