NCATS: Good Luck Continues in Montreal for Nuhn

MONTREAL, QC – After finishing a hard fought 22nd at the Grand Prix Edmonton, Kent Nuhn, driver of the No. 09 The Fuel Genie/Nuhns Auto Recyclers Pontiac Grand Prix, and his team were ready for a fun and exciting weekend at The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec.

Due to problems with the racing surface, qualifying was shorten from two thirty minute sessions, with the field separated into two groups, to one fifteen minute session, with the whole field qualifying at one time. Nuhn was able to qualify his Pontiac in the 25th position with a lap time of 1:56.669.

With all eyes on the Quebec-born No. 27 of Andrew Ranger, Nuhn slowly and quietly began to gain track position. He managed to finish the race in the 17th position. The team and relieved at the end of the race that their 17th place finish was safe despite a broken fuel, that occurred on the last lap, and a transponder error.

"He (Nuhn) did a good and outstanding job this weekend," Danny Leuenberger from The Fuel Genie said, "He came to have fun and he did."

Still in 17th spot in points, Nuhn and his team begin to get ready from the Full Throttle Energy Drink 200 at Mosport Speedway in Bowmanville, Ontario. This is the 7th race on the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, presented by Sirius Satellite Radio, schedule.
