HAMILTON, ON – Fastline Motorsports is pleased to announce the return of Tim Hortons as a sponsor for 2007 of Team Fastline and NASCAR Canadian Tire Series drivers Jeff and Jim Lapcevich.
"Tim Hortons is proud to be a sponsor of Fastline Motorsports. We've had a long-standing relationship with the Lapcevich brothers since 1990 and it's great to see that all of their hard work and dedication has resulted in some spectacular victories,” stated David McMullen, Vice President, Regional Marketing and National Promotions. “In addition, we appreciate their on-going support of the Tim Horton Children's Foundation throughout the years."
Tim Hortons Inc., www.timhortons.com, is Canada's largest quick service restaurant chain. Founded in 1964 as a coffee and donut shop, Tim Hortons has evolved to meet consumer tastes, with a menu that now includes premium coffee, flavored cappuccinos, specialty teas, home-style soups, fresh sandwiches and fresh baked goods. As of October 1, 2006, Tim Hortons system-wide restaurants numbered 2,637 in Canada and 305 in the United States.
The Tim Horton Children's Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to providing a fun-filled camp adventure for children, who could otherwise not afford it. Last year, over 11,000 children, between the ages of 9 and 12, were selected from each of the communities in which a Tim Hortons store operates, giving them the opportunity to attend one of the Foundation's six camps. In addition to the simple fun and excitement of such an experience, this opportunity can help these children build their leadership skills, self-confidence and self-esteem, qualities that will only benefit them in the future.
