Fourth Annual Windsor Shootout returns this weekend.
SPARTA, ONTARIO - The Fourth Annual Windsor Shootout returns to St. Thomas Dragway this weekend August 21, 22 and 23. The weekend will start with a free Test & Tune for the four Heads Up classes Friday afternoon from 1 to 5. Friday night will feature Performance Unlimited Street Legal racing from 6 to 10. The True Street class will also be run Friday night for cars taking part in the cruise from Tilbury.
Saturday will see bracket racing for Et 1 (12.99 and quicker), ET 2 (13.00 and down), Rapid Drainage Bike/Sled, Truck and Trophy. These five brackets are open to all comers, not just residents of Essex County. There will also be qualifying for the four Heads Up classes - Quick 16 (Essex residents only), Mailloux Chassis Naturally Aspirated (open to all), Sparky’s Performance Quick 16 Bike/Sled (open to all) and Sports Compact (Essex residents only).
Saturday night’s Run What Ya Brung will go from 6 -10. Sunday will see eliminations in the four heads up classes and the five bracket classes. Spectator admission is $5 Friday night, $10 Saturday, $10 Sunday or $20 for a weekend pass.
The Quick 16 class will feature the quickest and fastest street legal cars in Essex County. Can anybody take out two-time winner Dave Fantinato’s big block Nova? Will he still have the fastest license plate in town? You’ll have to be there to find out!
