JASON MEYERS WINS ON NIGHT ONE AT OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY

A total of 40 sprint cars were on hand for the first night of World of Outlaws competition at Ohsweken Speedway. In the early going it looked as though the night would be a repeat of the Outlaws first visit to the 3/8 mile clay oval in 2007. Jason Sides recorded fast time in qualifying, won the Crane Cams Dash and led the opening laps of the 30 lap A-Main. Jason Meyers however would take control of the event at lap 10 and would never look back on the way to scoring his 5th World of Outlaws win of 2009. Donny Schatz made it interesting on the last lap and finished second while Craig Dollansky finished out the top three. The World of Outlaws return to action Wednesday night with hot laps and qualifying scheduled for 6:20pm and racing action at 7:45pm.
